Yay! My balcony is done! Painter-dude was kind enough to put my artificial wall back in place, but didn't move the concrete blocks back onto the anchors. They're stacked four high and each weigh about 30 lbs or so. *sigh*
The painter guy who along with tropical storms have been making my life difficult for more than a month because I keep having to drag in, then put back out, then drag back in, then put back out, then drag back in all my large plants (notice the tree off to the side) and patio furniture into my small apartment. Btw, I tried to be sneaky, yet he caught me snapping his picture...oops...lol
I pass this fire hydrant everyday on my walk to the beach and I've never noticed the bumper sticker before. It's a myspace ad. myspace/onhiatus Clever, but I wonder how many people actually see it?
Today is my birthday and yesterday I received in the mail this wonderful Peruvian hat from my oldest sister. She says if anyone can pull off wearing it, it's me. My son has refused to be seen with me if I wear it in public.
i walked to my favorite place to go...canaveral beach. this little pavilion is a great place to sit, think, write, and enjoy the ocean breezes. and yes, i've given myself the "cybill shepherd moonlighting treatment."
my mama's vintage hat circa 1960. i have no place to wear it, but it's one of my most prized possessions. that's the original box and original newspaper she packed it in. i pull it out every now and then and just try it on (and occasionally snap of pic.)
tropical storm hanna waves as she goes by. the 25+ foot tall swells brought out every surfer in the area. however the often 35mph winds kept them from getting out far enough to even attempt getting up on their boards. The beach is still badly eroded from ts fay and hanna didn't help.
